the file selection now only reads files which this program hopes to read/load. no more .html files listed, for example. this has been accomplished by a simple, wide ranging change in modlue grafix .

this issue changed a lot of junk behind the scenes. for one, and this is the main change, the install packages now come with 1 file and one directory. the idea here is to avoid user-confusion by only showing the file which is needed for installation.br
the install is done by either running, and in case of emergency, reading the script which is in the main directory of the tar.gz/zip file....

fixed the graying of save button in showimages (fotoman) control. this results now in proper display of .ico .bmp and .cur files under win32 systems. in addition to this images should no longer get lost on the fly just cuz they cannot save themselves...

PS: one of these past days i think, i forgot 2 mention that i added tiff support (linux only, since that sorta stuff is a piece of cake on linux)

now supporting rectangle crop (for viewing purposes only). this allows the user the select a zoom area in a picture with one single mouse (drag-)stroke.

changed max. magnification factor to 256, cuz there's now some very simple antialiasing in the magnifier. the shrinkist now goes to 1/256, if the pictures smallest dimension (width or height) is greater or equal to 256 pixels.

the percentage display indicating magnification factor (at the bottom of fotoman window) now uses some digits after the comma, if the magnification becomes smaller...

well, this has been one grand day in the history of the fotoman program! the exit (quit,byebye) icon has changed from a confusing red circle into an (even more confusing) peach fotograph (hand-drawn by ariana). this, of course marks a complete turn in history and announces the advent of completely skinnable multi-platform applications from t@b...

the version number of fotoman is now easily visible in the windows titlebar.

The installation location of the fotoman has now changed. many users complained that a .t@b folder (with beginnint dot) was very inconvenient for them. we still dont install into /usr/bin or similar because that would require root priviledges. the install directory is communicated to the user upon completion of the install.

added a few (about 4) cpp classes for dealing with the browsing of type faces. this is now at a point where most typeface objects which the system can load, can also be viewed. not solved is the problem of making assignments between type faces and other objects.

the issue with keyboard shortcuts has now come up. added a enumeration class "guieventkey" for a internationalizable set of shortcut keys. the system will now accept CTRL-Key combinations while hovering over buttons. this will cause that button to be assigned to the respective key.
